MEET OUR CLIENTS
She’s amazing with her scissors. She’s the best hair stylist I’ve ever gone to. But she’s also this very warm and calming person. She’s instantly a friend. I love it.
What’s not being shown is sometimes the most sexy.
On Short Hair
Shorter hair allows you to still have that sensuality but it’s got a little more of an androgynous feel to it. It’s got a little more of that power, the courage to wear it with confidence and just rocking it. I love that about it.
The Best Part of Her Job
Seeing the transformation. Oftentimes women come in with a lot of nerves and visibly shaking. They immediately say, ‘I’ve never done this before. I’m so nervous!’ And seeing them by the end of the shoot just feeling like they’re walking taller, they’re much more comfortable with themselves. They have gone from me needing to hold their hand to just embracing who they are and doing the moves all on their own.
What I love about boudoir: It’s a chance for women to say, “Hey, I don’t care what a man thinks. I’m going to walk tall. I’m going to embrace that side of me. It’s okay to be a little sexy. It’s okay to have that sensual side of me and I can still be strong and confident and professional as well.”
Projects in the Pipeline
One thing we’ve started recently doing is called the ‘Real Women of Revealed.’ It’s been highlighting women who are representing that whole philosophy of being beautiful on the inside or have something beyond that aesthetic appeal. For example, we had a woman who started a silver lining foundation. She helps provide women for mammograms. I would love to continue doing that part of Revealed where we’re just kind of highlighting women who are game changers in the field and see what happens with that.
Advice for Young Photographers
Find a mentor. Don’t be afraid to call anyone. More often than not, I think that professionals will be flattered if you ask them for help. Don’t spend too much time comparing yourself to your colleagues.
