For our second Art and Soul in 2013, hosted at the iconic venue, Park West, we partnered with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to raise money and awareness to help children and adults living with this terrible lung disease. One of our colorists Erica, and her husband Sam, had a beautiful little boy named Jameson who was diagnosed with CF.
A few of the highlights of the evening were Art and Soul Runway, which featured editorial hairdressing in “Colour,” “Punk,” and “Alien Couture” themes that gave the audience a glimpse into spring, inspiration from the counter culture, and an elegant journey into the avant-garde. Headlining the musical entertainment was Sony EMI Recording Artist Purple Apple, and Columbia Records Recording Artist Wild Belle.
We are so excited to have met our fund raising goal of $15,000 and are honored to have had the opportunity to support Erica’s family as well as all families affected by Cystic Fibrosis. Being there for community members when they need us is what Art and Soul is all about. See the video below for more info!
